How This Works

  1. Get the Challenge

    Revealed at kick-off, 2:00 PM on Saturday 14 Nov at VOU Cafe. A real-world problem that needs an agent-based solution.

  2. Build & Submit

    Use whatever tools you work with - Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or anything else. Submit your code, a run of your agent, and your AI chat transcript.

  3. Defend Your Build

    Demo it live, then walk the judges through your architecture, your decisions, and your tradeoffs.

Who can participate?

Anyone who wants to build an agent - engineers, product managers, founders and students. There are 20 spots, and registrations on Luma are approved in order.

Is it free?

Yes. Register on Luma - there is no ticket fee.

Is it solo or team-based?

Solo. One builder, one agent - everyone ships and defends their own build.

Do I need prior AI experience?

No. If you can ship code with an AI assistant, you're ready. A Beavers Nest workshop is a good warm-up.

What kind of problem can I expect?

A real-world problem that needs an agent-based solution. The details stay secret until kick-off.

Can I use my own tools and IDE?

Yes. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or anything else you build with.

How is it judged?

On a live demo and Q&A: does the agent actually work, how well is it designed, and can you explain your decisions and tradeoffs.
